Our auctioneer will sell this auction of collections, accumulations and stocks from our offices. There will be no public auction room attended by the public due to government restrictions.

The auctioneer will bid on behalf of commission bidders and will take bids from invited agents, telephone bidders and online bidders who join us via: www.sandafayre.com and www.thesaleroom.com

Current guidelines do not allow for a public viewing event.

THE NEXT GOVERNMENT COVID-19 REVIEW IS 1ST JUNE so if guidelines are sufficiently changed at that time we hope to offer single-person viewings at our offices for which you must book ahead as we cannot allow 'walk-ins'. If you have a viewing appointment please prepare a list of lots numbers 48 hours IN ADVANCE of your visit so we can clean the outer packaging and have them waiting for you untouched for your safety. Mask, gloves and hand sanitizers will be provided and you will be required to use them.

If public viewing is not allowed most lots are extensively imaged and we can supply further information upon request.

Telephone bidding is a limited service and must be booked 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE of the auction start. We require a list of the lots you are considering to bid on (we don't want your bids). We call you during the auction.

Bids may be submitted by any of the following methods:

  • Absentee (“Commission”) bids may be submitted by phone, email, fax, via Stamp Auction Network and www.Sandafayre.com until 10:00 AM GMT on the morning of the auction on 13th June 2020.
  • Participate in the auction live online via Sandafayre.com or thesaleroom.com (please register in advance). Additional charges apply to thesaleroom.com

Please note that we intend to sanitize the outer packaging of all lots prior to any limited viewing we may be allowed to offer. We intend to allow lots to ‘rest’ for 48 hours after such cleaning so we ask for your understanding, patience and forward planning.

We can mail all lots and we combine multiple purchases to save costs however we do have the individual shipping charges shown against every lot on www.sandafayre.com to whichever country you reside in.

IF GOVERNMENT GUIDENCE CHANGES AT ANY TIME WE MAY CHANGE OUR ARRANGEMENTS ACCORDINGLY to allow the viewing and collection of lots. We will do our best to update you but please check this page as we'll keep it updated.

This was our last quarterly ‘public’ auction with a difference! With agreement from our vendors offered only stamp collections, accumulations & stocks because so many of our clients whether they be collectors or dealers were enjoying their extra time with the more esoteric and complex ‘mixed lots’ during lock-down. The other difference was we couldn't have a public room auction event but you could still still see and listen to the auctioneer and join the action live online.  The sale was a terrific success with over 90% of the lots selling!

From boxes of miscellaneous stamps to grand old collections such as lot 22 with its 9 old albums of Commonwealth which sold for £7000 to a box of tea cards which sold for just £8 our auctions are amongst the most interesing in the world. Consign or buy, you couldn't make a better decision than Cheshire Stamp Auctions, Sandafayre's public auction.
