ABOUT OUR public stamp auctions

Sandafayre holds public stamp auctions every 3 months under the name Cheshire Stamp Auctions.

These are public auctions of stamp collections, accumulations, single rarities and postal history. In addition we provide the full spectrum of philatelic collectables including cancellations, errors, postmarks and varieties.

Our 2020 auction dates:

  • 21st March
  • 13th June
  • 12th September
  • 5th December

How to bid in our public stamp auctions

It's easy to bid with us.

In advance:

  • Online through sandafayre.com where we accept bids until 10am on auction day
  • Email stamp@sandafayre.com

On the day:

    • Bid in person simply register on arrival at the auction and collect your bidder number
    • Live online in real-time through sandafayre.com or TheSaleroom.com
    • Telephone bidding simply pre-book to have live phone bidding

Our public stamp auctions are held at Cottons Hotel & Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 0SU, UK.

All lots can be viewed up to 4 weeks before auction day at our office in Cheshire.

Simply contact us and let us know which lots you would like to see and when. We'll make sure the auction lots are waiting for your inspection.

You can also view all lots at the auction venue on the Friday before the auction, between 11am and 5pm.

Also on auction Saturday from 9am until lots go under the hammer – the auction starts at 1pm UK-time.
