GB.QUEEN VICTORIA - 1841 POSTMASTERS NOTICE an exceptional complete notice, SG Spec. PN8, accompanied by its original unaddressed OHMS G.P.O. Edinburgh wrapper. The notice 'To all Postmasters, Sub-Postmasters and Letter Receivers' on left portion, and 'To all Postmasters' at right, from E.S. Lees, Secretary. Bearing 2d blue from the small trial plate (blank lower corners, third stamp from the left of the second row showing guide lines), 1d red plate 5 'CK' these unusually with FOUR MARGINS, and each side with 1d pink envelope with red 'SPECIMEN' overprint, at upper left small format misfolded so that the silk thread is on the back, and at upper right larger format and showing double embossing of the stamp impression. A wonderful example.
