IN OUR PUBLIC AUCTION (Cheshire Stamp Auctions, once every 3 months) you can leave bids for our auctioneer to manage on your behalf (traditionally called “Commissions Bids”) by bidding from this website up to 30 minutes before the public auction begins (please remember, our buyers premium is 20% which is higher than in our Mail Bid Sales). You can also watch the auction and bid live online from our bidding platform which goes live 30 minutes before the auction but please make sure you are registered and logged in. After 30 minutes before the auction the option to make bids will be suspended and instead you will be enabled to view the live auction and bid if you wish. It doesn't take 5 minutes to get registered with us, just go to the "My Account" link at the top of the screen > "Sign in / Register" > "Create My Account". Unlike most auctions we do not charge any additional fee for online bidding prior to the live start of the auction.

You may bid live on OUR WEBSITE for just an additional 3.6% (which is inclusive of an amount in lieu of vat) of the hammer price.

Remember in a fast- moving public auction it will not be possible for us to manage your total spending limit or other complex instructions so we would recommend bidding live yourself or discussing instructions with your auction agent. Highlights from our 5326 auction include:

  • Antigua Stamps: Our selection in this sale includes several fine mint collections with estimates ranging from £125 to £1,400, along with singles and sets, notably 1932 Ships 2s6d and 5s,1908-17 Arms set, 1953-62 definitive set NHM etc.
  • Aircraft on Stamps: A good variety of stamps issued for air postage or featuring aircraft in the design. Includes items from Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France and colonies, Italy and colonies, Latin American countries etc., plus collections including a superb 1930's to 2010's never hinged mint in 8 albums, plus postal stationery etc.
  • Malaya States Stamps: We have a good variety of collections including Federated Malay States, Pahang, Perak and Trengganu, along with many fine singles and sets, in particular Straits Settlements 1906-7 Labuan opts set, and Postage Dues with Trengannu 1937 and Malayan Postal Union 1936-38 sets.
  • British East Africa Stamps: A fine array of singles and sets including the very rare 1a blue-green with "ANL" (broken 'D') variety and Mombasa hand stamped overprint mint, 1890 surcharges on GB complete set very fine mint and many more choice items including 'dropped B' varieties etc.
  • Cyprus Stamps: A lovely, mainly mint, selection of QV to KGV period including overprinted GB, a nice 1882 ½ on ½d emerald-green, watermark Crown CC, 1902-4 Watermark Crown CA set and a good range of KGV high values to £1, as well as collections large and small.
