Hawaii 'Eye Patch' Flaw

5/05/2012     Hawaii

Many great collections of Hawaii have been formed over the years, and this enchanting area has appealed to some of the world's greatest Philatelists.

Many of today's stamp collectors can only dream of owning something unique for their Hawaiian album. It is something that has eluded the most well-healed experts for almost 150 years.

We are delighted to offer a recently discovered 1864-86 2c vermilion King Kamehameha stamp (Scott 31), that shows a spectacular 'Eye patch' flaw - a large vermilion oval spot (approx 3 x 4mm) on the king's right eye.
