Shopping
basket
Our Shopping Basket feature has two main purposes.
Firstly, it acts as a place where you can store lots that you are interested
in without any obligation to bid on them. Secondly, if you do want to
bid on a lot you must add it to your shopping basket first- as it is only
from here that you can send it to your bid sheet!
|
|
How
to add lots to your shopping basket...
|
Click the
Add to basket button on the lot details pages to add the lot
to your shopping basket. Immediately after clicking the button, a message
will be displayed at the top of the page informing you that the lot
has been successfully added to your basket.
|
Viewing
your shopping basket...
|
To view the contents of your shopping basket, simply
click the Shopping Basket link on the top toolbar. Your shopping
basket will contain all the lots you have added so far. These lots are
simply your interests at this stage- they are not bids!
|
Moving
lots to your bid sheet...
|
Next to
each lot you'll see a check box in the Proceed to bid sheet column.
If you want to send a lot to your bid sheet you must ensure that this
option is checked. Next, to move all the selected (checked) lots to
your bid sheet click the Proceed to Bid sheet button at the bottom
of the page (any unchecked lots will remain in your basket).
The lots will be then be removed from your shopping basket and placed
on the appropriate bid form (lots from different auctions are put on
to different bid sheets, you must fill out a bid form for each auction).
Remember,
you have not bid on these lots yet! See the tutorial on How to bid for
more information.
|
A
few things to note...
|
Once an
auction close date has passed, any lots that are left in your shopping
basket from that auction will be removed (this also applies to lots
on your bid forms).
