Registration
You must be registered before you can bid on our site. Registration is free and fast, below are a few notes to help you complete the registration process successfully.

Address & Contact Info

Please ensure you enter your personal details accurately - your details will be kept on our files. The address given at registration will be used for invoicing and delivery of your lots (if you want to use an alternative delivery address you can do so on the Bid form). Pay special attention when entering your e-mail address as it is easy to make errors here.

Site Info

User ID and Password
You must select a user ID and Password for yourself. You will have to enter these details in order to access certain pages on our site (generally, the "secure" pages, such as Bids or Account Details).

Your User ID and Password should each be between 5 and 20 characters. Your ID must be unique, so if you select an ID that is already in use, you'll be prompted to chose another when you try and submit the registration (your password does not have to be unique). Make a mental note of your ID and Password as you'll need to enter them often.

Note:
There may be certain "ID's", such as people's names etc., that are very popular; so it is advisable to use a mixture of letters and numbers for your ID.
For example, if you try to register with the User ID of Richard, you may find that your registration is not accepted because somebody else has already registered with Richard as their ID. You stand a much better chance of having your User ID accepted if you used, for example, Richard1968.

Security question
We also require you to enter your mothers maiden name, which we will ask you to tell us should we ever need to confirm your identity - for example, if you forget your ID and Password and need to be reminded of them.

Alternative currency
You can view the guide prices for the lots in an alternative currency. (The alternative currency will be displayed in small green text underneath the sterling estimate). However, it is important to note that all bids must be made in £ pounds sterling and that the alternative currency amount is only a rough guideline only.

Credit card details

Although you do not have to provide us with a credit card, doing so can make things a lot easier for you when bidding. The credit card you enter here will be referred to as your default card, and can be selected quickly and easily as the desired payment method for any bids you make. However, we will never charge your credit card without your express permission.

A few things to note...

Most of the fields on the registration form are mandatory and are indicated so. If you fill in the form and any of the information is unacceptable or has been missed out, the page will be displayed again for you to change the relevant information. Take note of the messages explaining why the registration is unacceptable, and check that you have filled in all the fields correctly.

You'll know when your registration has been successful as you'll immediately go on to a screen displaying the message "Welcome, you are successfully registered!"
