About Shipping

Our shipping service is second to none - all items are packed by our dedicated mail-room staff, using brand new, professional packaging materials to ensure safe carriage. Full insurance is always provided. We know that when you want your lots quickly, and so we always strive to get your lots sent out within 48 hours of the auction closing, many lots are shipped the very next day!

For your information and peace of mind, shipping costs are shown against every lot on this site (click the 'Go to item details' link on any lot, and the shipping cost is shown in the box on the right - simply select a country to see the cost). We also tell you how we'll ship the lot (i.e. using a First Class/Airmail service, or using a Courier/Signed For service). The service we use depends upon the value and weight of the lot (some lots - especially heavier items - must be sent by courier rather than through the local postal authorities). We always strive to ship lots by the most economical means possible. Indeed, the discounts that we receive from our courier company are passed directly on to our clients.

When you purchase multiple lots we heavily discount the prices so you get a better deal. If you're bidding on multiple lots at the same time via Wishlist bidding, you'll see the total shipping cost for all the lots before you confirm the bids. On your Active Bids page you'll see the total shipping cost for all the lots you've bid on in each auction at the bottom of the page (obviously the price quoted for multiple purchases in the same auction assumes that all lots are ultimately won - often this does not happen so your shipping cost could be even less).

Here's what one satisfied customer recently said of our shipping service:

I would think that you don't get too many messages like this, but after years of being a satisfied Sandafayre customer, I thought I should write. Whoever does your packaging takes great pride in his/her work, and should. Whatever I order arrives in a meticulous condition, almost a work of art. It must take a great deal of time and care to produce these packages, but your customers must be exceptionally grateful, even if they don't take the time to say so. Well done, congratulations, and thank you to whoever is responsible.
