CHINA - 1897 TO 1949 SUBSTANTIAL SEMI-SPECIALIZED COLLECTION of very fine mint & used stamps arranged and written-up to a high standard using both Ma and SG numbers. Begins from the 1897 "Imperial Chinese Post" m/u range to 20c, 1898 "Chinese Imperial Post" mint set to 10c & used set to 30c, 1900-06 no wmk set to $1 used, 1904 Postage Due overprints 1c, 4c, 5c & 10c used, 1904 Postage Due range to 20c blue, 1909 Temple of Heaven sets both mint & used, 1912 Chinese Republic overprints comprehensive ranges, and onwards with so many complete sets and appealing little ranges such as the 1913-15 Postage Dues range to 10c, 20c & 30c used, 1931-37 Dr Sun Yat-sen First issue set to $1 mint SG 395, Second issue range to $5 mint SG 405a, 1940 Postage Due overprinted set mint SG D545/6, strong ranges of the 1940-43 provincial surcharges all identified, and similar properly identified later currency overprints, Communist Conquest 1945 $10 & $20 Kaifeng provisionals mint SG 781/2, through to the 1949 (Aug) Silver Yuan surcharge set mint SG 1360/69. So much not mentioned, a lovely fresh collection packed with interest (approx 1500 stamps)
