FIRST STAMPS ISSUED 1913. CURRENCY 1913, sterling. 1935, 100 cents = 1 West Indian dollar. Crown Colony which became part of the shortlived British Caribbean Federation from 3 January 1958 until 31 August 1962. Became independent within the Commonwealth on 31 August 1962.
