1961, 100 cents = 1 dollar (Bahamas).

Remained a dependency of Jamaica until 1962 when the islands became a Crown Colony. First issue in the new state was on 4 June 1963. The islands are now a Dependent Territory of the United Kingdom.

Caicos Islands
Although not politically independent, this group issued its own overprints on 24 July 1981. These overprints were inspired by a stamp marketing company and initially they were not accepted. However, they were subsequently used for postage. Their full status is questionable.
